User guide for portal features

add_circle Feature: Make a TIN request

This feature allows you to submit a new TIN number request directly online.

Detailed process:

Choose applicant type

Select whether you are an Individual or a Company.

Important: The chosen type cannot be changed after validation.

Fill in information

Enter your personal or company information according to the chosen type.

Name, first name, CNIB/IFU, contacts, etc.

BL information

Enter the Bill of Lading number and upload the BL document.

Attention: Readable document (PDF, JPG, PNG - max 5MB).

Identity documents

Upload the required documents according to your type.

CNIB/Passport for individual, IFU/RC for company

Validation and submission

Check all information then submit the request.

Result: You will receive a reference number to track your request.

This feature allows you to search and consult existing TINs according to different criteria.

Direct search with TIN number

Tip: Search accepts partial terms.

Find answers to your questions quickly

Click on "Make a request" on the home page, choose your type (Individual/Company), fill in the form with your information, upload the required documents and submit. You will receive a reference number to track your request.

Use the "Make a search" function with your reference number obtained during submission. You can see the current status: Pending, Under review, Validated or Rejected.

Processing time varies according to file complexity and workload. Generally, allow 2 to 5 business days for a complete file. You will be notified of status changes.

If your request is rejected, check the details via search to know the reasons. Correct the mentioned elements and submit a new request with corrected documents/information.

No, once submitted, the request can no longer be modified. If corrections are necessary, you will need to submit a new request. This is why it is important to check all information before submission.
